The Center for Development and Democracy (CDD) 50-member observation mission in Tbilisi and the regions, through mobile groups, monitored the municipal elections of October 2, 2021.
Election day monitoring included: opening of the polling station from 7AM, the voting process, the closing of the polling station, and summarizing the results.
The CDD Observation Mission fully covered the pilot project in Krtsanisi N4 Election District using technologies (so-called electronic vote-counting process) in all 31 polling stations, as we believe that it is important to give a proper assessment to this pilot project, which could be implemented across the country in the future.
With 11 years of election monitoring experience, this mission is the 21st for the CDD. The principles of our observation mission remain the same: demonstration of respect for the law, independence, impartiality, accuracy, transparency, and professionalism.
Hereby we would like to thank all the members of the observation mission for their commitment and participation.
Once again we would like to express out gratitude to all supports how participated in our crowd funding campaign to support CDD observation mission for 2021 Municipality Elections.
