Comment of Ketevan Chachava, Executive Director of CDD on Georgia's EU membership process
"Georgia's EU membership questionnaire is a very important step in the European integration process and it is important to ensure its openness, transparency and inclusiveness. A large amount of work needs to be done, in quite a short time, so full mobilization and use of all resources is essential.
I think it is important to ensure the involvement of civil society in the process of completing this questionnaire. Civil society has valuable experience and expertise that is essential to the success of the process. Georgia's membership in the European Union is the most important strategic priority of our country and it will be possible through joint efforts and intersectoral partnership. Against the background of the polarization in the country, the process of joining the European Union is an issue that can fully consolidate our society, and this historic opportunity must be used."
